About us

In Matthew 28, 19-20 Jesus Christ says:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you...”

Matthew 5, verse 14 states:
“You are the light of the world.”

This is why we believe that every believer is called to spread the Good News of the Gospel - that Jesus Christ died for our sins - and thereby to bring light into the darkness of mankind. "Light of Life" emerged from of this calling and passion.

The idea of founding the mission organization came from evangelist Mohammed Amin when God gave Mohammed a clear vision after his miraculous conversion [more about his conversion ...]. The mission was officially recognized in Ethiopia in 2002, in Germany in 2010. Since its founding, our work in the field of international mission continues to progress. Thus, the Word of God is being preached in Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea and various European countries.

“Light of Life” is a non-commercial, non-profit organization with the main purpose of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to reach those who are under the bondage of sin, as we were before our conversion.

We organize conferences and evangelizations wherever possible. We pray for people with diseases and other problems. We are committed to the training, equipping and sending of believers.

Through annual Bible donations, we are able to personally give out God’s Word so that people can read the Word for themselves.

When people find the Lord Jesus, they need a spiritual home. However, in Muslim areas, there are often no churches. Then “Light of Life” helps to found and build a church. Local, native missionaries are on-site to oversee spiritual growth.

The younger generation, their salvation and provision with the Word of God are very important to us. We want to give children and young people access to the Bible. Since 2012, four schools have been built where more than 400 children are being taught by believing teachers. The children receive school supplies and school uniforms. “Light of Life” is responsible for the operation and maintenance of these schools.

We are aware that people in our world also suffer from insufficient physical resources. We are also called upon to care for these physical needs. We do this through, for example, water projects. A water project was carried out at each of the four schools.

According to WATER FOUNDATION, just under 1.2 billion people have no secure access to drinking water. Women In the countryside of Ethiopia have to travel long distances every day to get water. This water is usually not clean. Nearly 80 percent of diseases in developing countries are caused by dirty water or poor sanitation. It's a big challenge, but with God's help we can make a difference.

The five water projects are providing over 13,000 people with clean water.

As much as is possible for us, we also provide medical care. For instance, a boy was operated on three times for a tumor behind his eye. Now, he can even see again with this eye. So much help is needed, but unfortunately, funds are missing so we can only help in very special cases.

The mission currently consists of seven members and is managed by a board of directors. We cooperate with a variety of churches and ministries around the world which share our vision.

Again, and again we marvel at the grace and help of our Lord Jesus Christ, who makes these things work and succeed. Without HIM nothing would be possible.

Jesus Goofta da! - Jesus Getano! - Jesus ist Herr! - Jesus is Lord!

Please pray for this work because prayer moves the arm of God.
